And as far as these spy cars im sorry but i still have a problem with that nonsence. If your a goofball with all kinds of crap on your liscence thats one thing, but if your beatin your brains out up and down these roads for years and have a clean record who in the hell is mercer to be makin one out to be this big unsafe driver because hes 1,2 0r 5 over i mean lets be real. be nice if they took the money they spend on this service makin everyone out to be such a risk and pay thier owner operators more would be nice

while I drink some Kool-Aid out of my blue travel mug, I prefer grape flavor as its blue.

but really, they ask no more than anyone else would, the safety rating ultimately affects all of us leased there, I myself like green lights on pre-pass.

and I guess some of us are just happy f'ers by nature.

they post up front what the load pays, if I agree to that and haul it, if I scan paperwork and they keep paying in a few hours, and they ask that I drive at or below the speed limit, I am good to go.

The reason for the spy cam is for lower insurance. All the mid to large carriers pay these off duty cops to send in reports on us to keep a lower insurance rate and it also helps in lawsuits. I've been told this from Lynn himself.
Now look at our insurance rates, almost the lowest around. And if you don't think mercer has any lawsuits, call and ask the claims dept.
The big difference with most compaines using these spy cams, is they either deny or don't tell the drivers they pay these wanabe cops.
Sadly these guys get $25 for each time they send in a report on us (good or bad).
So the one's to blame is really the insurance company for offering a way to get some big discounts.

Don't normally set the cruise, but yes I try to stay under the speed limit. It's called being a professional vs cowboy wannabe super trucker. And hey, I like getting over 7.5 mpg. Can't do that running fast.
