Badmonkey, i sure as hell am not trying to give you grief, but why have you been out a month? You should have no problem making good money and be home regularly. Are you trying to run high mile loads instead of short trips every day?

Yup. First mistake was letting my co talk me in to a ltl load to colorado. She kept saying "trust me we will make money trust me" 3rd pick fell through but already commited to the first 2 so I was a good boy and went. Delivered in denver and cripple creek on monday the 20th. Sat for 2 days the hammered out to des moines to pick up vermeer to texas 2nd mistake. 3 drops ending in alice, tx empty 2 fridays ago sat in san antonio till last wed then hammered to lousiana to pick up for north carolina. Here friday waiting to unload tomorrow. Maybe I'm just beating myself up to bad. The ltl was the co's idea then I was pissed and took the texas load. I can even show proof I was in cripple creek, see picture. If it sounds like I'm in a mood maybe you understand now that I lost 2 weeks on this crap. I should have listened to you guys. Yup, way to much bouncing but felt like I had to get out of there. Dont worry, I'm not going back to either of those places.

Don't be scared to bounce, or to go to black hole areas. But I'm order for it to work required two things. A great rate going in, and two, when you bounce out its to get a load going to a good reload area. I'm guessing the first load didn't have a good enough rate considering where it was going, so you then felt trapped and took the Texas load. Good news is, you ran in circles long enough you are back in a decent area. Not a great sees, but a decent one. The key now is to reload to an even better area. It's better to take a lesser rate that gets you to Indiana, Illinois, Ohio. The good rate areas. Than say 2.50 a mile to Maine. Final note, don't stress it man. You are learning and will be fine in the long run.

Well I have to be home by wed or thurs for a few reasons. I found a nc to elkhart, in right near me, how do I select in on the board. It was scheduled to be picked up on friday but its still on the board. Does that mean I can still get it?

In the winter I stop looking for mileage runs and work more on a day to day basis with a good day rate. Sounds like if your 3rd pick on that LTL would of come thru you would of done good going to Denver is the same as going into the northeast get your money going in.
