I average $ 3500+ per week (to the truck) pulling van at Mercer.

Unless a current contracter gave you his sign in info, or physically let you view his laptop/smart phone, you have not seen our load board. You have seen the public board of the loads passed over by mercer oo that are then put out for brokerage.

I'm on my way to Salt Lake City with 6000 lbs of basket balls and have a 35000 lb reload going to Orlando. My average payload is 28000 lbs. if you haul the forklifts the loads are usually over 40000.

I beleive the van division does better this time of the year. I do not gross 3500+ a week this time of the year. Yea, flat or steps get more( not 30%) But just not the freight as available this time of the year. Better with a flat than a step, but the vans tend to do as good as flat during winter months.
It's during summer where we can really do better.
I've been thinking about getting a flat for the winter months but then to have payments.

    I'm having a very good week @ $6700.00 in 8 days.
Last year I averaged $521.00 per day for every day I was away from home whether I was driving or not. Yes, I made more per mile with my flatbed but with my health issues I'm much more productive with the van. I do miss the variety of freight though.
