mercer transportation

Just arrived this afternoon in Cartersville, GA at the TA. I'll be here all weekend. Deliver monday in pendigrass, ga and then head for Memphis for tuesday. I'm finally getting a hang of the whole mercer routine and I'm booking myself on loads and staying preplanned most of the time. I spent most of the day today up in Brydstown, TN looking at glider kits… Now to decide, Truck, trailer or both? Such hard decisions ahead… =)

 

This does not feel right. I have been avererging 3 weeks out and i have only been out 3 and a half days and i'm already back at home. Picked a load from Canton,OH to Minneapolis delivers monday going within 20 miles of the house. Hmmm, spend all day sunday in the truck or go home? Home wins. Satellite tv omong other things. Oh and fix a exhaust leak on the rig. I just got the rig back from the shop to fix the leaking fan hub and a boost leak I thought I was hearing. Took off in the rig and still heard the leak, got to looking and the flex pipe behind the turbo was splitting, thats what I have been hearing along with the jake noise getting very loud on occasion. So I will be busy tommorow. Later alligators.

 

I been home all week also, tinkering with my truck.
Gotta get down to the yard this week and get an inspection.

 

I wouldn't waste my time dealing with Fitzgerald's gliders,I was going to buy a Glider from them got approved for financing and then stopped in to pick out truck and got jacked around,they went up 8,000 dollars on price over night and then tried to put me in some returned truck,just didnt have a good expereance with them at all,there's a glider company in Waterloo,Ia that sells them cheaper too

 

That is Harrisons Truck Center, they are a Freightliner dealer. I believe that there is a Freightliner dealer in Omaha as well that is putting out a lot of gliders also. From some things that I have heard about Fitzgeralds I would not buy from them.

I am at t/a elkton, sick and tired, not of anything, but just sick and tired from tarping and loading when I am sick. Nyquil is my friend tonite, very shortly I hope

 

I don't carry Nyquil, as I was told it is illigal in a commercial truck.

Might wish I had some tonight considering driver next door has to run his loud apu while pluged in. Really.

 

Stuck here getting my abs worked on. Inspectors said it has to go out without moving but my abs goes out at about 5mph.

 

So much for that brand new trailer feel...
