tie rod end, two wheel seals, loose brake can, one set of shoes, adjust the brakes, windshield washer not spraying and a windshield.

they didnt nit pick me too bad but some guys did. they got failed for things like non working window, non working utility lights even tho theyre covered by the darn headache rack, both horns not working even tho dot regs just say A working horn not two working horns. they are also hammering the abs system checks.

mark if you didnt have a referall see if its too late to add me as a referal. trk 13750, i need all the cash i can get right now after sitting a week

Wow they are getting picky with the non working window. They have never asked me to roll mine up or down. As far as the wind shield did they make you pay for it? If it was not in the line of sight they should have let you get on your first load and call in that a rock hit it.. We get one wind shield free a year.

it was cracked across the bottom inch. it wasnt even over the hood and its a t600, it doesnt have a hood! and they made me replace it and i had to pay for it. $205 for one side. the old guy jon i think was the one busting nuts about working windows.

it cost me about $700 in repairs and $800 in equipment to get signed on. and thats a lot cheaper then the $3200 if i had to buy it all from them. but still thats a huge number to me.

Soooooo.....I hope I am not being offensive but.....don't you have a mechanic that could have taken care of some of that stuff BEFORE you got to Louisville? Im glad you made the move because if you didnt have $1500 and have been working steady something was really, really, super really wrong...you should know if you been in the game 20 years any crack in the windshield is a violation (and you said crack not chip) uhhh...good luck and I wish you success...

I thought of this fourm and booked a Mercer load today its been a while guess I was feeling nostalgic or something

its part of their process, you get inspected at louisville when you lease on. they dont charge for the inspection. you will pass a DOT for sure after that inspection. they dont force you to do anything, if you dont want to get your inspection at louisville, lease somewhere else.

guys do tend to sometimes think they are nitpicky, but funny thing is the DOT guy is usually nitpicky also. mercer passes roadside inspections easily, it why we get green lights on prepass 99 times out of a 100.

the main thing is when most guys go to lease somewhere they are usually short of money and outlay of cash is huge and tends to get ones panties in a wad. just a natural deal

the problem is the difference of opinion of what "needs" to be fixed. some think nothing "needs" to be fixed, then the dot guy convinces them it does.

What I was meaning in my post is that usually there is more than one person that does inspections at a company you are leasing on to. I have ran into the problem of one guy saying I fail over a bunch of things but like in the instance I mentioned beforehand I had 2 passing DOT inspections within the month I was leasing on so I knew my truck was just fine. I requested another guy do my inspection and sure enough I got leased on. That was the point I was trying to make.

i knew i had problems with the truck but five of my last six setelments at the old company were under 200. kinda hard to fix anything and i.knew they had good mechanics here that work for $60/hr. i fixed what i could mysepf and had them do the rest when i got a payment i had coming to me for an.outside deal last week. i dont have a problem with picky, i am picky and i keep my truck up but it was starting to slide after a month and a half of robbing my maintenance fund to fedd my family and keep the lights on.
