I was visiting my contractor emptying out the truck and they ordered KFC. I may stay, I may go. They're going to make a bunch of repairs and keep the truck on hold.

This is a great thread! I have been approved by Mercer and have decided to go with them. After reading all 432 pages of this thread, I am excited to join such a great bunch of folks. I look forward to working with you all.

For the most part, the rates are real close. Sometimes you'll get a few pennies more for a step, especially if it's a wide load also.
Used to be quite a bit difference but not so in the last year.
I guess just to many steps available without the need for them.

Question for the seasoned Mercer drivers. Is it worth purchasing a flatbed from Mercer or would it be better to get one on my own and bring it with me? Are their flatbeds on the light or heavy side?

heavy great dane 51' trailers but good financing.
I brought my own here (Fountain) and approx 4K lighter. But I also have a step with 38' bottom and that cuts me out of empty containers loads most the time

Redly and Battle Born Thank this.
