Be careful on milatary loads. I had to wait a week on getting paid because my cbl showed a different carrier. I'll know now to watch for that

Do you guys ever have a problem when you finally get home then see a load for stupid good money and want to go right back out? I did today. I compromised and seen a load for friday and am trying to get that. I guess I have to much of my dad in me, out for three weeks and want to come home to rest and take care of a few things then see the load board and want to pack up and go. He always told me to take it or someone else will. Copy?

 

Yeah monkey, Iam guilty in the past when i was independent. Hasnt happend here yet, but I can almost gaurantee it will at some point.

 

Yes, I had only been home long enough to eat supper one evening and an agent called me, needed someone to pickup a tractor from a farm show going to another farm show. Told him I wasn't interested, just got home and I have no intentions of leaving. He said, name your price, I said you don't want to hear it, but I shot him a price anyway, he said I'll call you back in a few minutes, two minutes later the phone rings and I was back out the door.

 

Trucking ain't easy. Money talks when you're whole life is in your hands. Payments, insurance, everything.

 

dude that's my main operating method, the get its while its there method, I only been home for one day since april 26th, went by this past Saturday, spent the night, drank father day coffee , left at 11 am. plan on staying out til july 4th.

one thing is they got money to spend at home.

it helps greatly that my wife's dad was a owner operator also, to her this is normal

 

So today I've received 3 settlements already and I feel like I'm a bit emotional.. I just started last wednesday.. it's been just a week!!!
Again I am thankful and blessed. My work is finally paying off.

 

Did I mentioned I'm delivering tomorrow in cali and already have a load back out to MI? at a great rate?

 

OH Man. I'm in Atlanta. Loading tomorrrow for Indiana.
