flats would def be better but i am at $6k in 7 days on what will be about 3600-3700 mi. all miles. i think you can do better then that if your smart about it. this load i grabed last minute for $1.82/mi just so i wasnt sitting over the weekend. if i hadnt been trying to get home i could have done better. but its better then sitting and still profitable even to its the cheapest i did this week

Wow....adding 30 trucks a week??? That sounds a little scary. Mercer is at the top of my prospective list, but, my gosh........

I noticed a ton of Mercer coming east on I-40 last week, hauling military. Was there a move going on out of Irwin?

From guys with mercer they have been saying the normal is 5 or so a week but for some reason they signed on 30ish last week. So that number isn't the normal.

yeah, 30 trucks is way off the normal, its usually 5 or 6 at orientation.

and if ya live in the right area, 2.20 is possible with a flat. i avg 2.03 loaded and empty so far this year but i dont worry with miles , i look for revenue , i try to do a min of 4,000 a week on the least possible miles. but if i can do say 3,600 on 1400 miles i am completely satisfied.

i hit 200,000 last year, might be short about 10 grand of that this year but so far i have taken off 6 more weeks than i did last year. example september i took off the first week, worked 2 weeks and took off the last week of sept, still did 11,000 to the truck on 4900 loaded and empty.
