It helps but Mercer writes their own insurance and won't provide gap or won't put LM as and additional insured. LM basically has it where you have to use their "preferred" providers. I smell a kickback.

Hey Bigdubber, please, before you start this journey, go to sears' and pickup a toolbox and tools to include at the very minimum,
1/2 drive ratchet/socket set with both metric and sae
    combination wrench set to 1"
    a "dogbone" wrench
2 12" cresent wrenches( that's what we called them, some people call them adjustable wrenches)
screwdriver set to include torx ends),
fair sized hammer, we're workin on big toys now!
    automotive electrical pliers
see if they have heatshrink butt connectors, you may have to go to napa or your local auto/truck parts store.

you should also pick up push/pull connectors for airlines in case you get a leak out on the road.they aren't cheap,5-6 bucks a piece but one day you will be glad you did. example, coiled line between truck n trailer breaks, 1/4", 1/2" 5/8" should do it.

anyone else feel free to ad to it,

    Klleetrucking and Bigdubber Thank this.

Yes, I will start Orientation on the 4th... I will likely be "on the Yard" by Sat the 2nd and spend the weekend there in my truck.

Sounds fair enough to me! Thanks for the offer. Just look for the "good looking, ole geezer with a ball cap the has US Navy" lol... My truck will be a Gold colored Volvo VNL780.

Look forward to meeting you there.

    God bless. ~Bigdubber

Thanks for the tip/info... I'll be sure to do that over the next few days. (today was my last day as a Company Driver. So I have until next Weds to get things ready.) I appreciate it.

they will put them as lienholder to be paid off in an accident, additional insured is a whole nother ball of wax. and no mercer doesn't offer gap, ooida does offer gap if you get the physical damage from them.

    Bigdubber Thanks this.

All you need to install the headache rack is a 15/16 inch wrench, or socket with long breaker bar. An empty rack is quite light, it can be set on the front of the trailer and man handled into place. I installed my 3 door myself.

    Bigdubber Thanks this.

P.S. I think I saw Flightline, not sure if it was, but it was a Pete with a 48' step skateboard and a little 132" sleeper, at the Petro on I-65 just south of Louisville(Glendale). Think he was carrying 1 of those 4 axle military tank trucks, awesome load!!!! :biggrin_25514::biggrin_255:
