rusty, this winter will be my 3rd with mercer, in the two previous winters i have benn able to haul all the loads i wanted and were capable of hauling.

i may run some different lanes at times, but actually january and february have actually been my 2 highest revenue months of the year so far.

That's awesome!!! I'm hoping I can do that well as this will be my first winter not on a dedicated account. Seems that pointing the truck into the snowbelt pays off since most O/O's head south and tend to run only south of I-40 from what I've seen.

Keep up all the good info...... It's nice to have first hand accounts of how things are "just in case"

mostly flats. but they are shipping containers out of stewart to fort polk which is my back yard. unfortunatly i cant get to ga. closest i have found was to ne georgia but it was a 224mi dh to get loaded and would have been another 250mi to savanah. ky has really not been a good state for me since i started. i darn sure dont want to deadhead from lexington to ga. i feel like i am going to do something very stupid real soon

You should have bought a flat. I keep kicking myself for buying another step, guess I could go trade it in for a flat.
