i still like my step but it sure would be easier with a flat. i am actually thinking about buying another turck and putting a driver in this one. he would definatly get a flat. he's young, he can take the bounce on the ground from higher up then i can

waah, waah he was told. you got to remember this you picked the load to kentucky, you were given a choice of loads. the next load you take will position you for your next one, you been there a week hauling freight. you got to learn the system yet.

now quit yer beotching, check to loadboard, see one you like, then check the area its going to, find one ya like and then check the area its going to , when ya find a combo that works try to get it.

when ya sitting around , look at all areas on the loadboard , it will help you get a sense of good areas and bad areas.

right where you are now , flat loads are 6 to 1 over step.

remember, mercer drivers dont moan and groan, they deal with it and deliver it, on time and unhurt.

I've been staying local for various reasons for a while. Mercer doesn't have many high-paying shippers in CA to begin with, and right now, it is very slow. I've been doing 1~2 loads a week, going back and forth between LA and Bay area, making $1000~1600 a week after fuel. I get good fuel mileage (7.5+mpg driving at 57-ish), but since I live south of Fresno, there's also a lot of DH'ing.

They were headed to Ft. Drum.
