Any truth to the rumor I heard about mercer cutting back on letting big sleepers lease on?

oh well, loading in Louisville this morning, hauling a cheap load to rhode island, its 15,000 pounds no tarp, and pays fuel and eats money. I took it just to get to high paying freight out of rhode island. 3.26 a mile on 955 miles, if this keeps up I may have to lease on with with too much chrome or running rabbit

Haha sounds like a horrible idea skateboard. Having any issues with "the purge" bs that's going on around Louisville? Not sure if it's true, just maybe Afghanistan rumors.

Lol.. I am on a Phoenix oven out of phoenix, or.. 2.62 mile @43k #s and it tarpped (no way.. yes jose). After that load from PA to redding, boy I don't want to stop but I need to go home.

From all this running my truck has now gotten an "illumination upgrade" from bumper on tractor to bumper on trailer..
I'd like to sound humble but lord it looks so fancy! Haha

It seems freight is moving, as we all know is not that great but not bad here in cali.
I loaded next day after I dropped in redding at 1330. Run 125 miles to white city, OR where I loaded down to Phoenix, AZ.
1050 miles paying 23XX.00 to the truck.
    43k #s and tarpped.

Im apparently running the wrong areas. Last couple weeks have stunk. Headed to Ft. Worth, then to Superior, Wi. Hoping for lightning to strike for me up there.

so it finally happened.. I blew a tire

And it wasn't pretty. It all began on the afternoon of a beautiful saturday. Traveling on I-5 south in the stockton area while on the middle lane, my melodic singing was suddenly interrupted with a big bang.

As a master of disasters I could sense on the air something was about to happen 2 seconds earlier, so my .002 second response to the tremendous noise and cars behind was to set my 4 ways, beacons, and throw all signals but limiting to hand signals so that I could be able to steer this red machine off the road to a safe shoulder which was non existing.

Like flies on dead meat I was immediately accompanied by 2 CHP (californian police)
I went about my business and situated my emergency triangles, and proceeded to call our great company to report a acclaim for help wearing a blue mercer long sleeve shirt with a high vis vest, jeans and high vis white tennis shoes.

One CHP offered help and I told him I had help coming to which he pointed the non shoulder op would be forbidden, but CHP could close the lane so the Road service (aka dracula) could do his operation.

Boy was I in for the next dreading 6 hours of my life..
The "person" on the other end of my phone call to mercer was very annoyed by my call on a sat afternoon. The "person" repeatedly said he/she could not be there the whole night.

I suggested I'd find road service myself and was all ok, but she needed an amount set to get a pay out approval. After contacting t/a rd svc squad I called mercer back and gave them the t/a's shop number. The "person" called t/a, told t/a she/he could only approve 2 tires, but since I have SS's and the cost being over $1700 (including a rim) she/he couldn't get it approved - since I was a new guy and had not been with the company long - (how unprofessional)

After calling (I think) for approval, "this person" called t/a and approved the repair on the michellin's account. She/he told t/a to bring out a STEEL WHEEL $400 instead of an alum $500.

When t/a arrived I greeted the svc man and asked to be shown the tire and rim. Tire was right on, but not the rim to which t/a replied as been asked for by "person" @ mercer.

I called mercer and "person" said to have never ordered the wheel made of steel, it must had been a missunderstanding.
T/a would charge 50 miles back to shop and 50 back to me to exchange the rim.

"Person" @ mercer offered I stayed put until monday or have my truck towed. Again replied she/he would not be there the whole night.
A minute later "person" from mercer called me to asked if the money could be loaded on my card -here I thought I was new to get authorized- t/a said no PO no michellin special pricing, so I was given a PO moments later.

Now I got a wheel I did not want ordered by a "person" that instead of making me feel a bit better, just drove me frustrated during my tale-tell afternoon and I'm stuck with it.

All it takes in a company is just one person to ruin things up or make them worst.
This "person" @ mercer clearly did not want to be there and was eager to leave the office while being assigned to be on call for the day.

Greatest moment of the day, CHP escorted me 2 miles "backing up" off of the freeway to save me a $650 tow bill..

Sounds like this "person" should find a new job.
