There should be a plugged outlet you can connect the pressure side to, and and unused plug in the upper part of the pan to drain back into. Usually the biggest problem is locating a spot to mount the filter. Once mounted the rest will be easy you just have to have a little patience finding the oil port on the block.

the adapter kit is sold with the filter, but be careful, the plug for pressure requires a o ring type fitting with those same threads like you take out. the adapter kit I bought had wrong fitting and had a severe oil leak when first installed. the guy that distributes them works in accounting at mercer, George over at the company store can get ya hooked up with him, I think he has someone lined up to install them. had mine three years and it helps extend my drains , I am using dinosaur oil instead of synthetic, change the filter like roshea does and do oil changes at every third filter change, 36,000 -
I'd rather have a knowledgeable mechanic do it, could the mechanics at mercer/louisville so the install?
I just went from reg oil to synthetic blend as preparation 1800 miles ago. -
.
came within an eyelash of getting killed this morning unloading. had on 2 Doosan air compresors , 16,000 pounds each about 20 feet long with dual axles and pintle hitch tongue. I backed up to dock and unchained both. I removed the 4 x4 that was nailed behind the wheels on the rear unit and also chocks nailed behind the rear of the 4x4 . left the 4x4 and chocks on the front unit. the hooked the pintle on the rear unit . I got up to hang my chains in the rack and all of a sudden I get slammed against my six foot ladder and headache rack, caught me about 2 inches below the collar bone and had my head pinned against the ladder. the guy had instead of pulling unit off the back had went forward, rammed the front machine and knocked it ove the 4 x4 and chock blocks. and the unit had been slammed into me.
what save my rectal region??? I had the truck ####eyed to the trailer a bit , and when the front unit came forward the fip down cover for my chain hooks stopped it, it is crushed . but it stopped my head from being squished like a grape. the other mercer guy yelled for the guy to move the hell back and when he did the machine rolled back unpinning me.
I got a helluva bruise across my back, sore as heck, but all in one piece.
so next time ya hear someone say a headache rack is useless, tell em ya know a guy who got saved by one sitting still.
and I know I broke a rule I have had for 35 years, near get on or under the trailer while loading or unloading, I was thinking of having my stuff put up so I wouldn't hold up the next guy unloading.
I will post pics in a bitTravelinman Thanks this. -

Take a day off and go home, I'd buy a lottery ticket right away.
How did the loader make up after this?

You can get additional help and parts from Filtakleen directly, they're out in UT a little bit south of SLC, I've stopped in there before and they've been nice to deal with.Lucar Thanks this. -
