Yes $45,000 less than a glider and my name is on the title. I have no fixed cost associated with the truck, except insurance and that is very reasonable.

I don't care if someone buys a new 2015 truck or a new 2015 glider, or run well maintained old equipment. Running old well maintained equipment makes my life stress free. It's very hard to go broke with a clear title and that is priceless.

 

$45,000 - $20,000 (from the sale of the old truck) equals a difference of $25,000. Just doin' the math. Of course, everyone should do what they decide with the money they earned. I am not telling anyone else how to do things. But I think one of these days I am gonna once again experience that new truck smell.

 

I respect your decision. If I buy a new truck, I will also have the title. No financing needed.

 

I ask the trailer shop las week. It was $12000 for the kit and then 40 hours labor at $85 an hour. That was one they were putting on a step deck. Don't know how much on a flat but probably close.

 

as posted earlier a fastrack system for a 48 foot flat is going for 12,500 out the door installed in franklin,ky.

I'm out there.. from purchase till now with all inclusive, pms, notes, repairs, parts, hotels (downtime) and all since 8/2013 has been $55k

OK then. It was a quick glance and all I could see was a bright red t660 maybe a t600 with the mercer blue tarps with the logo on them going south on 294 saturday.
