Did you put new lenses in the freightliner too? Those things are always looking horrible. My dad used to run a century and we had to clean them out a lot. I had HIDs in my car for a month and hated them, so I'd go LED before HID again.

Why did you hate the HID's vs regular headlights?

I put a pair of jw speaker LEDs in last summer and they are amazing. I have a w9 and they are a plug n play for the standard 4x6 clusters in kW and pete. No modification needed they fit well in the stock housing. They are pricey bit well worth it. I only bought the low beams because I couldn't justify paying all that money for high beam when I rarely use them. Now I feel like I have high beams on all the time or maybe my eyesight is improving with age lol

HID is delayed when turning on cause of the ballasts needing to fire and such. The "modification" on them is dumb, and the blue that it put out, I felt like it wasn't half as bright as it should be for the price. And one of my ballasts blew about a month in. Any sort of a surge or anything will ruin them. I think, like everything else, it's matter of preference or something, but I felt I spent enough on them to where I should have gotten better quality.

I wish they had a true led conversion for my Columbia like the standard led headlight for the Cascadia

Thanks! Mind telling which retailer you purchased them from?
I have a newer model Century that has both the high and low beam bulbs in the same housing. Not the sealed beam like the earlier ones. Being a light and LED nerd, I've tried about everything in there without real success. The HID are ok but the ballasts will not stand up to the abuse from a semi.

I got the Truck Lite 7" round LED's and they were around $165 each. Prices have come down quite a bit from when they originally were available. Can't comment on melting snow and ice yet but I'm sure I'll find out in a month or two. These directly replace the older style round headlights so there is no cover to replace.

You mean network connection to Mercer?
If so, I noticed it down on the phone app.
