It does look very good with on. Now all you need is a conestoga for your flatbed.

I have a question for y'all that have pulled the "UPS Holiday" gig... I've signed up for it... but now I'm wondering if I can pull a Van... My truck does not have a sliding fifth wheel... How do I determine if I have enough clearance from my headache rack (it's a basic rack) to pull a Van? Thanks for your time and recommendations.

Thank you my friend, and I'm sure you know who made it happen.

Thanks Mr monkey, I'm actually thinking of a 53' SD in a year from now

I must be doing something wrong. You young guys buy new toys while I keep plugging along with this old girl.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem. my truck has no sliding fifth wheel and was set up to pull a reefer, never had a problem with my flat unless I load to far off the front.

but I don't think I van would a problem is the flat isn't. find a van and measure how far back the kingpin is from the front of trailer, and then measure your flat.

I have to remove my dorm box/headache rack to pull dry vans because of the longer kingpin setting. But then mine is little deeper than most but I also have sliding fifth wheel

The only problem you may have is if you have to pull doubles. The pup trailer set up is very shallow.

If it's doubles, plan on pulling off your mud flap brackets or kiss them good bye. They are set up for single axles. We got to much frame behind that first axle and the landing gear just barely clears the frame rails when turning.

Lucar, the 579 is worse mpgs or the 660? Could just be it needs to be broken in? If I read that right. I'm in a 579 for TMC currently and getting over 7 with my high school math skills. Last week was 6.8 this week has been 7.2. As you all know we also run 62-63 so this regen system is screwy for us. Only been in this rig for 2.5 weeks now. Much better than my 379 that's for sure.
