I only get 300k

 

I'm still learning when I leased this truck from CRST Malone they had no service schedule and it's my first Regen truck the filter they took out had 800k miles on it, I'll do 300k if that's what you do I don't want to spend so much on it again

 

The DD15 uses a 300k change. But all trucks are different.

 

Passed a Mercer truck today on the Capital Beltway, had a SeaBee tag on the trailer, I remember someone on here is an ex SeaBee, but I don't remember who. Anyway, it was a good day to be on that section of 95 for a change!

 

I just don't understand you guys with your newer trucks. This old antique went over a million miles with nothing but a single injector needing replaced till I decided to tear it down and rebuild it this past august. My next project will be the rears and tranny. That should buy another ten years of trouble free running. All three major components for about three same cash as one year of payments on a newer truck.

 

The sleeper gets built on 12/8 and then a few weeks later I'll have the truck back. Hopefully by the first week of January, I'll be back truckin.

 

I guess my next question would be, what kind of fuel mileage do you get? As for a year of payment... Well I haven't had a payment for at least 2 years now.

 

As of right now I'm getting 7.6mpg with my stepdeck for the last 90 days I still have a truck payment till August 2015

 

Thats pretty good. I get 6 hauling 45k, 7 at 35k then it works up to 11.5 with an empty trailer. That has dropped a bit in the last few months so it must be time to get an overhead done. When she was new she never got less then 7.5 no matter the weight.

 

So far I've made 2 improvements I have the Spinner 2 oil bypass, and FASS. Next year I'm going to get 8 wheel covers see if there is any improvement, was also going to order the DD15 fleet air filter for Christmas but that got nixed because of the repair yesterday
