Hello all. Beginning my journey as a flatbed driver at Mercer on 2/16. Was wondering if anyone would be interested in mentoring me. I'm completely new to flatbeds so..... I know it's a pain in the butt to have someone pestering you all the time but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!
Lucar Thanks this. -
get a flat .
-
I beg to differ sir, he should get a step. Closer to the ground, easier to get on and off. Put the Conestoga on it, and you're set.
make sure it's an all aluminum step or you won't be able to scale much.KSGunny Thanks this. -
Yup, this steel aluminum combination puts me at 34,500 EmptyKSGunny Thanks this.

Load levelers/ramps bring money in as well
-
I really gotta buy a set thought about the one set that's ramps and double as load levelers
-
I've seen them with the pedastals for ramp support, they look cool as heck tooTruckin Juggalo Thanks this.

ramps not so much , but levelers will help. a step isn't a magic bullet. I wouldn't base getting a step on being low to the ground a 6 foot step ladder solves that problem easy enough.
you can just as good with a flat as with a step here.
gunny wont be hauling enough containers for that to be the decision maker
