You guys would be surprised but I'm making money this winter, last winter I didn't even make half of what I've made so far before coming to Mercer.

There is always money to be made. It's just not as easy the slow season than the peak times.

Man if this is as bad as it gets, I can't wait to see me bank account come summer. Heck I've taken almost 3 weeks off out of the last 6 and have made more then I ever made in 6 weeks of driving before. But it is almost time for me to step it up. I think when I leave the house Monday I might try to put two full weeks in. I've taken a lot more time off then I'm used to.

Be careful with that time off thing. It's addictive. Next thing you know too will be like me taking MONTHS at a time at home.

It's a pity you live so far away. If you were closer we could have slaped a new head on that binder this weekend.
My wife keeps telling me I need to open a shop but down here there just aren't enough English speaking truck owners. It's all Spanish or eastern European languages.

Thanks for the offer. Maybe I just need to start investing in some tools so I can do more repairs myself. Although with out a shop it kinda sucks in the cold weather.

It doesn't take a large investment in tools. 98 percent of the work you do on a truck is done with basic sockets and wrenches. Basically a couple hundred bucks on a craftsman set. Then you by what you need as you need it. As for a shop, I have a big ol pole barn but still almost always do it out side. Even up there, there just aren't that many days when it's so cold you don't want to go outside. It's not like you live in north dakota.
