You have to maintain your own maintenance fund, tax fund ect. There are discounts on things like tires. But I'm not an expert in this field and I'm sure there are others with more comprehensive information.

Just started reading this thread and its a great read. I'll keep my questions short, im looking to buy my own truck, either a 2016 volvo 780, or a 99' freightliner, yeah I know, kind of opposite from eachother, nothing is set but I'm leaning towards the new volvo. I have no fb exp but would love to get into it and never look at a reefer again, does mercer require exp before leasing on? And how do you guys get your loads? Dispatcher? Load board? Dealing with brokers directly? I'm not interested in dealing with a dispatcher anymore either so that's why I ask.

lmao, that last post was only supposed to have the bottom quote, the other two were something I "sent" last night that never posted the quotes to it.

in reality the 1300 mile load would be more of a 3 day deal, all things being equal you would deliver the 3 a mile load 9 hours earlier than the 1300. -
Mercer takes out my deduction, you have the option to set up one in orientation, they don't care what you use the money for just a simple call and they will load it on your EFS card or you can even have them settle a shop bill out of your reserve
Razorwyr Thanks this. -
and you do realize if you keep poking folks with that sharp stick you aint gonna make many friends and neighbors??? I hope you realize that. you are beginning to piss folks off.Lucar Thanks this.
