I'll be honest here, I don't think you will be happy or very profitable running between Richmond and the northeast. We do have good paying loads from VA to the north, but once you get up there anything going south is cheap, and little of it. Even the little 200-300 mile hops that stay up north are to cheap, in my opinion. I thought you were a co driver for VW?

I am, got a some change in my pocket from an Inheritance. Tired of the grocery warehouses for one and the other stuff that goes on here, pretty good job and earnings but just want a change to what i grow up on with my old man and uncle pulling flats back in the day. Was going to buy a truck here and lease it on until they hit me with the 5 years or new deal, NO WAY, i'm buying a DPF equipped truck!! But basically I just wanted to get into flats.

VW was the first company I ever drove for, used to run real hard back then. I went to work for another company up there for awhile, then bought a truck and leased onto VW, I left there around 2004. Sounds like when they made it mandatory eobr most everyone else left. Cory still running the show in VA?

I would have to agree with Oscar considering:
I just come out of Jersery area and had to take $1.50 mile with smoke tarp and 40,000 pds. Just wasn't anything paying worth a dime but didn't want to sit long. Actually sit a day getting that.
Though I could've taken 1.78 for a 10' wide load going to New Orleans with nothing there.
This time of year sometimes the bad freight areas turn real bad.

I only pull wide loads if there are paying. $1.78 mile for 10' wide is just sad. But I'm sure they will get someone.
