I'm just excited to get back out there! And he's sick of runnin the same lanes over & over. So there's much debate about which trailer to pull also. He's running a SD right now. He wants to stick w/ that... any thoughts?

I generally do 4 weeks and 10 days off when I'm headed home I just tell my coordinator anything within 200 miles from Knoxville will be fine and I tell him the day I plan on returning to work don't offer me anything paying less than $5,000

Why ya think I spent so much time at home? Making that belly swell is hard work and takes a LOT of trial runs :)

You should do fine out of there. They pull some stuff out of Pella, you have another shipper 100 miles to the east, John Deere, and then there's always a smorgasbord of freight over in Chicago.

The agent for DesMoines, is real good about getting loads out of Vemer/Pella almost anytime you want. Good area.

Go flatbed. So many more opportunites, especially during slow times. And just to many stepdecks out here now.
Also flats are lighter than steps.

Truckin Juggalo and amwilletts10 Thank this.

Well then, WE ARE ABSOLUTELY JUMPING SHIP!!! We are in a T2000 and just about to go nuts!! Its like a Jenga game moving everything around. We've held off so far, not knowing if we would be shooting ourselves in the foot weight wise....

Weight isn't a big issue I was told back in orientation that if I could scale 45k I can haul just about everything Mercer has. With a straight flat 48' I can scale 48k and with my stepdeck 51' I can scale 45k they are a bit heavier
