The more likely scenario is the lp guy leased to Mercer bounces two hundred miles to get a 1.80 load, and that 1.27 load sits on the dock until it's taken later in the day by a guy that just mortgaged his house, bought a truck and got his own authority.
I don't know what your guys coordinators are like, but mine would immediately take me off something I booked paying 1.27 a mile. I'd also suspect I would be hit with a random drug test that after noon.nero8762, Razorwyr, nel4you and 1 other person Thank this. -
Its all relative. To me right now 1.27 would be darn good money.. .. of course I'm doing a lot of LTL and now have seven different loads on my trailer. When LTL works out it's very good.

My coordinator doesn't even like offering me anything under $2.00 and anything over 25,000lb he does a great job at keeping me profitable.

LTL can be tough. You have to learn that certain customers are willing to ship partial loads if there's a truck available. Normally they wait for a full load or send out multiple stops at a truckload rate with stop-offs. Some are cooperative, others not so much.
