it was pure luck first time i've been in North Carolina since i started here last September. i just started calling around told everyone i was available with a 51' stepdeck and got a call back, lol it was pure luck on my part, I've just barely started getting to know the agents and i doubt any of them know me yet the only one i have on a halfway decent working relationship was SIS office and i doubt they even remember me i haven't been to California in 2 months because of all the birthdays I've had to deal with. I've been bleeding money trying to run regional with a stepdeck

 

it wasn't contacts, it was luck on that one. remember a blind hog finds an acorn every now and again.

 

Canivin' Ivan is gone? I never liked that guy.

 

you know, it would be an eye opener for most to know what kind of trailers the top ten guys in each fleet pull. it would FLAT out surprise you

 

yep, some kind of controversy over some loads, yep ivan would lie , even when there was no need.

 

Doubt it cant remember his name the guy that bought that shiny brand new Western Star with the RGN trailer was doing pretty well, i was doing well running OTR this is just the worst/hardest time of the year for me trying to make money with 4 birthdays between March and May It'd be easier to just take off the 3 months but gotta make a little pocket change

 

He was down in Ft. Pierce if I remember correctly, and his dad was an agent up in N. Florida I think, his dad was a good guy, never had any trouble with him.

 

nope, not an rgn, not a step , flat was number 1. why don't ya just send a card and a check and keep running? I am going home for a bit at end of month, last kid graduates high school, may 30th and turns 18 may 31st. I will be back out by my birthday june 2. in fact I haven't been home since I left march 2, had dads funeral the 28th and out I went . kid had south east regional horseshow in april and a mid atlantic regional in may, entry fees aint cheap. and shes already qualified again for the world and national champioships in Oklahoma in October. and got another in college. if they need to see me they can put my picture on the fireplace mantle, old direct deposit just keeps on rolling

 

I dont know what to say. I thought by now I would have made some contacts either agent or customer wise. Has not happened. I don't get it. I am clean cut, dress nice,deliver on time, polite and everything but yet I have not had a agent call me with anything good. I'm guess I'm done for the night. later.

 

ou got to remember , the loads are basically all ran thru Louisville. this system isn't basically set up as a " kiss the agents rear to get loads type deal" it doesn't hurt that agents know ya, but its not the end all be all here.

besides , everyones knows agents and brokers are full of it
