Ya it really is amazing. If ya ever need help, just open your hood, you will have all the help you could need and then some.

 

I think helpful, mainly to make check calls before or after main operating hours, do the arrival call, and make the empty call to lock that in, all that in addition to getting on the telephone and calling them also, and if they are busy , send in the load info on it while your on hold

 

but that being said, I don't let the market rates be the end all be all, I made the decision to lease here and thus I got , whats on the loadboard, the market can give you an idea of what the rate is said to be for certain lanes, but that rate isn't what I have a choice of. I simply know my cost of operation real well, what I expect at a minimum in profit above that, and try to maximize the amount over that minimum value. if I were to strictly want the market to determine what I do, I would reactivate my authority. i just maximize what i got to work with, and knowing this system well helps, as does a bit of patience. i cant get loads on the open market, so i use that as an rough guide to possible rates and then work within the system here.

 

Considering both your posts, what was with all the back and forth then? I'm pretty sure I said the same things as you in both your posts.

 

who said you didn't ?? I agreed with you, lol. I just added since I cant haul the market freight , I don't overly worry about the market rate for a lane I just try to maximize the rate I get here. those two posts are no different than any other post I have made in this thread actually.

I am in Lexington,ky delivering to the bluegrass depot tomorrow morning, then loading for Brunswick,ga and tallahasee,fl deliver that Tuesday , then try to load toward home in ga or dh, youngest daughter graduates high school and I need to be home by Thursday, I haven't been home since I left march 2, 2 days after my dads funeral, stocked up the money vault. I will roll again Monday the first of june, lets get together that week , I will try to load to Louisville, I need some brake shoes on the rf , I will let those jokers do it at the yard while we eat famous daves

 

First week of June? Count me in.
