I would love to know where you get your information from?

I have a example for you, it's actual freight, I'll leave out the exact details as far as origination and destination, but I assure you it's coming from and going to the same place, posted by separate carriers!
    Carrier 1- 784 miles $1853.94 =$2.36/mile
    Carrier 2- 805 miles $2700 = $3.35/mile
Not only is Carrier 2 paying more per mile, but they are paying more total miles! Carrier 2 is also a Mega Flatbed Carrier! I can show you this on lane after lane, not just this one!

Don't forget Mercer takes %25. So add in %25 and that's what it's really paying. You can always go run on your own. No one is holding guns to anyone head here making people stay..

Do think the other carrier doesn't take a percentage?
The point was, the name on the door does matter!!
I never said I had a gun to my head! A couple people decided to argue that rates were like this industry wide, I'm pointing out that they're not!

I will also add that, I will not run, nor have I ever run a truck for $1.43/mile average!

Just let it go. You will never get them to admit the rates are down. Even though they have said it is harder to find $2.00. If it is harder than last year that means the rates are down.

Not a one of us have said rates are not down from last year. We just understand how the industry works and that rates don't vary to much from one carrier to the next.

    larry2903 Thanks this.

If you are so certain carrier b pays so much more, then why are you not at carrier b?
