All Mercer loads are supposed to hit the board! Apparently it doesn't happen all the time, but there could be a reason. Although you are told you are allowed to trip lease(get a broker load) good luck, people wouldn't be deadheading from areas such as CA, ND, & TX if they could!

Every truck has a empty time or a ETA, that creates their position. Let's assume you're in a area that 50 loads are posted with 50 trucks, and we'll assume that's all the loads, and all 50 trucks have their preferences the same. Loads will "run" the board from 10-15 minutes, approximately. All 50 trucks have a position 1-50, with 1 obviously being the best. The number 1 truck will have their choice to take any of the fifty loads, then the 2 truck, and so on.

This is where I find it extremely comical, and part of the disagreement about, having a choice. Truck number 1 has a choice of 50 loads, once truck 1 takes a load, then truck 2 has a choice of 49 loads and so on. As you can see if your truck 50 your choices will be limited. Now throw in rates, if the top ten loads are $2/mile, and everything else is $1.5, that's 40 trucks that will have to run for $1.5 or drive empty! We'll use California as a example, someone isn't driving from CA to TX without a load because there is a abundance of good freight available on the Mercer board! I've sat in CA for a week due to my number being high, I could have booked a load off a broker board but was not allowed to!

Thought maybe you hit reply before you typed your message.
You can disagree, just not as long as you disagree with the correct side.
