One owner of a mega once said if I can put a dollar a day in my pocket from each truck. I will profit 10k a day. As I have 10k trucks. What man can't live off of 10k. It's hard to compete with the mega companies on their playing field. But someone just said they added 900 trucks. So what makes a company mega

TruckerPete, don't take offense by me quoting you, definitely not my intent. I wanted ask how you came up with the $1.35 needed? I know we all have fixed cost. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you must have a set amount in your head in terms of mileage? You must have a set MPG that you are using also?

You are dead nuts on! Time for my "conspiracy".lol Mercer is continuing to hire a a rapid pace, is it possible they have adopted that principle?

Now there isn't anything wrong with adding 900 trucks if they are maintaining their standards, and have freight to put on them!

I disagree. I gotta get home but I'm not taking $1.49 to go home. Hence the reason why I'm deadheading to Ohio. Even the total miles for this trip is more than 1.49 including deadhead

Ok! Good to see you have a fixed fuel number lower than what your average MPG is, and a fixed number on pay. Now the most important question, why did you buy a truck?
    A. To make a living
    B. To make as much as possible
    C. Open to whatever you want

My last company we had to run 70mph to make our delivery in time and barley stop.
