Yep, there's a lot of times that I wish I would have never left.
-
I bet the day will come you are back. after all, you drank the koolaid.
-
Well.. they keep saying it will be done today so we will see. If so I'm going to Louisville to take flatbed class they are doing it Friday.
-
So does Mercer work like Schneider IC, its all computer based? Or do you just use the computer to find loads then make a phone call? Is Mercer all Mercer freight, are you allowed to find loads on the spot market?
Can you negotiate with Mercer agents? Or is the rate on the load final and as is? -
If you see a load on Mercer website you want. You can hit commit me I call n ask. Not sure on spot Market.
-
What is a decent amount of blow by for a 07 cummins isx with 611xxx? I know 0 but what about a truck with no major work?
-
YEA! The thread FINALY looks like it might be back to norm. I was tired of holding my tongue.
Pete, I hope you get your truck fixed. I'm delivering in TN today, well probably pick up in the am something to get me through Louisville for the weekend. I'm due my biannual. LOL. If I get there let me buy you lunch man.
Spyder, thanks for the talk the other day. Hope we meet up soon.catdriver7r, Razorwyr and TruckerPete1990 Thank this. -
Thanks I'll prob leave out Friday after that class to take his trailer to this driver. The shop is done but the paper work from the mechanic wasn't turned in yet. The girl at the desk doesn't give to craps. It's been sitting out here for 4 hours now?

It's basically computer based, with a coordinator working for you.
While the rate is set. Occasionally if you talk to the agent, they can try to get more from the customer. Has worked for me in the past.
As for working the spot market. Not happening. While technically if there is no available freight near you, you can book an outside load, this will never happen. There is always a load available. it might not be a very good one if you are in a dead area, but there will be one. The solution is very simple, don't go to those bad areas unless the rate justifies it.
