Mercer numbers are ALWAYS to-the-truck. Landstar quotes gross.

 

our loads board only gives money to the truck. I often wonder why folks quote gross numbers when they are leased , I cant spend the gross. I only worry about what ends up with me. and roshea , I load the load to philly the 19th in wi, deliver in philly the morning of the 22d, near eddystone actually

 

keep in mind, it seems not everyone does this. I am booked all the way thru the 22d of june . my coordinator is on vacation this week, I got a floater. I booked all these my self. using only a tablet and a telephone.

 

Yeah really gross means jack #### to me. I try not to get caught up in that or what the company or broker makes.

 

I've only been here at mercer for 7 months. So far, money is good but more importantly to me is the freedom and only doing what I want to do. With that said, and 22 years on the road I am in louisville right now and strictly on a personal level I don't like what I see and where the company is headed right now. I've always taken my job serious, always been the best I could be out here, always clean, dressed appropriately, and acted in accordance with any situation I may be in. I earned what I have, missed weekends, birthdays, anniversaries, always provided the best for my family. Unfortunately, this is not what I see now, it's industry wide, I know that, but I was hoping that mercer would uphold their standards and quality... It seems as the industry norm has swept to here as well.

 

Came to Miami with a decent 2.22 and got a load 4 miles away at 2.07 headed for Tampa. I know I know short miles but I live in Orlando so that worked out perfect. I was ready to DH home. Got a PM done yesterday and got my new compressor put on with all the goodies ( expansion valve, dryer, o-rings and new belts come in today) also got two reared leaks sealed and load leveler adjusted. Out the door labor was $350 from a friend of a friend shop here in Orlando. Question I forgot to ask the mechanic. When do you run the overhead. He told me he charge me $250

 

If your truck has 500k I'd get it done. Also for mine it's every 150k. Sitting in Louisville right now too.. people can't make up minds on classes lol. Some drivers look nasty sorry but they look like swift drivers not owner ops.

 

Man that's been brought up a couple times on this post who are they hiring that's it's that obvious they are scumbags at the terminal.

 

Just a quick FYI if anyone here in louisville is interested I have a winegard pathway satellite and brand new dish network box. I just bought a new tractor and had it integrated in as an option so I took this one off my trade and have no use for it. Thanks.

 

That's a good description. It doesn't cost anything to be clean and believe me everyone knows the difference between new dirt and filth.
