This is true. Pete, if you don't or can't move it, just make sure you don't accept any loads that day no trailer bulkheads. Those almost always require front over hang.

it would be better to just leave it where it is. Its on my catwalk right now bolted down i can turn hard and not hit the rack. I guess i just can't take anything over 48f

I was talking about moving your fifth wheel. Not the head ache rack. Obviously we want the head ache rack as far forward as we can get it, giving just enough room so the sleeper doesn't tilt back into it when your bags deflate.

I have it back as far as i can get it. There clearance for the APU there and the stack. Although i think the stack maybe a little close. Here are 3 Pics of what it looks like. Those airlines im gonna replace with rubber one's. Oh and the website says my truck is a 226 WB... it looks like i could flip those 2 sliders on the 5th wheel and see if that works. The guys in green truck will be back in the am and im ask them what they think of that. I moved my headache rack myself onto the truck but couldnt bolt it down as my catwalk was in the way lol

It might be the angel but it looks like you have another set of bolt holes on the Frame rail that will let you move the whole fifth wheel 2 inches further back better have a set of big wrenches

thats what im thinking i do think those could be moved to back and put the other one in front. But wouldnt that put me in violation for bridge laws?

Kinda late now but why did you put the rack on the catwalk?? I moved my catwalk back closer to the 5th wheel cause when you step down you're gotta be careful not to fall through the frame. Who helped you put your rack on? Your U-bolts look upside down. And what is that your rack is sitting on. I'll try to take pics of mine when I fuel up later

I believe you're correct. Cause when you think about those stretch trucks I'm sure it's measured kingpin to rear axle
