I guess that's subjective, but so far, a bad week for me has been about $1800-2k, I'm averaging somewhere between $2500 and $3k take home, before I set aside for taxes/maintenance. I just came to Mercer and flatbed late March, so I don't know if that is above or below average, but it's good enough for me and I feel I could easily do better once I get better at everything involved in running here.

Pete, almost no one takes the efs card. Got to find an atm. use it for fuel, and write efs checks for parts and service if you need to. if you keep working steady, in a couple months you shouldn't need that card for anything but fuel.

If you take two weeks off, that first load will have two weeks of deductions coming out. Think that's bad, you should have seen my first couple checks after taking three months off last year. Plan accordingly and its no big deal. Wait until your rent is due in two days and your bank account is tapped out, and it's gonna hurt.

They are very upfront about this. Our deductions are the same every month(and a LOT less than at any other carrier I've been with). And it's pro rated over thirty days. So we know exactly what will be coming out of our settlements.

You also have the option to have them take the deductions all at the beginning of the month. If the daily isn't working for you, you could try that.
