Called em yesterday. Not bad prices. What do you use for heat? I wonder if my apu can run the rooftop ac. The apu still runs good just the inside part is messed up. No ac no heat. I Sony wanna have to take whole apu off if I don't have too

Well, my rooftop is 9200 BTU and my 3500 watt gen doesn't even kick into high gear.
-
I have a 9000BTU unit because that's all my gen will support. If you have 3000 watts or more I'd really recommend the 13K or 15K BTU units. I have an older mid-roof century so that's a pretty small area, and in 100 deg temps it struggles while the sun is beating down. Larger sleepers will benefit from a larger unit if possible.kjoseph Thanks this.

Get an Espar or Webasto unit for heat. You will use a minimal amount of fuel and will crack your windows open in -20 temps it you run it on high! I use a Honda EU-2000 gen for rooftop AC and to charge batteries and power tools or whatever else. Also have the Maxwell engine start module and three Optima yellow tops installed. I don't worry about the truck turning over in -20 temps and don't even consider idling it. If for some reason you manage to drain your batteries by leaving something on, a simple jump from another battery will get the Maxwell recharged in typically 15 minutes, 30 maximum. People say it isn't worth the cost, but when it gets cold I sure see a lot of people paying hundred of dollars for jump starts (sometimes several times per season) and replacing batteries that they've run down and ruined. Have to look at it as a whole package, not just individual items. If I had rooftop real estate I'd get some modern flexible solar panels and they would be enough to keep batteries topped off.

Hmm I got a scan gauge my voltage jumps all over. 13.3 to 14.0 while driving. I thought this was a batteries related. But got 4 new ones. While idle it's normal 13.8-14.0
-
I might be wrong but isn't that normal?
-
Mine is always fluctuating when I'm driving . I had it checked and mine was 13.8 at idle and mechanic told me it will always fluctuate while driving. I was woried because sometimes it would go down to 12 on the gauge when driving
TruckerPete1990 Thanks this. -
Oh maybe it's normal lol. Been calling about new exhaust tip. Most are telling me I need to buy new exhaust pipe n cut it. Guess I'll order it online

Coleman has a rooftop unit made especially for rough use like a truck will give. It also has heat strips available to use for heating in cold weather. It's called the Coleman Roughneck. Several drivers here have them. Do a search and see if you can find the thread. There are pictures of them installed in their trucks also.
