This. Agents will pay out of pocket to keep a customer happy. And they can go to the customer and say I got a truck but he wants another xx dollars than the quote, up to you. I'd guess fifty percent of the time I have gotten extra money on the load. And the Times I didn't, it was only a minute of my time lost to say sorry, baby do it for that number.

    roshea and marineman227 Thank this.

And this. So many guys think the od stuff on a step will pay big bucks. All ya got to do us look at the board and see that isn't the case. And come winter those same guys are crying they can't make any money cause no super will load a step when they can get a flat all day long and not have to bridge the load.

This load is a 2 stop load. Can I do what stop I want first even know it says what stops they are? My 2nd stop unloads at 0700 then my first starts at 0800. It would be closer for me to unload 2nd then first.

Just me.....but looks like they have their stops out of order. If stop 1 says 0800 and stop 2 says 0700. Just saying.

I'm mostly a lurker on the Mercer thread but I'll try to help out.
Yes, sometimes you can switch delivery points and times,,,,, BUT everyone from the receiver to the agent involved needs to be informed prior to doing such, preferably as soon as you get loaded. That gives everyone time to adjust.
My first call is to the agent, you might get shutdown right there. If not, politely ask the receiver if they have any problems with switching. There might be equipment or personnel involved and they just can't accommodate you.
I cannot stress enough that communication with all parties is paramount!
Remember, if you do request a change and rack up some extra miles that's on you.
