I live in Florida. You could try to stay out two weeks but when the goings good you take advantage and stay out longer. Everybody's different though. I think CJ live out that way and does good when he's over there. It is is my first trip west and I'm going right back to the east coast. I will come back out here when I need peace of mind. Wyoming and Utah is beautiful or maybe I'm just saying that because it's my first time ever out here. Lol either way good luck to ya

Maybe its just where I live. I moved to West Palm Beach from Naples I usually have to get up by Jacksonville to get anything good or at least North of I4. I use CHR depending what trailer I am pulling I can get some good loads coming out of Dallas or Austin especially if I have my reefer. I pull a lot of sugar out of Belle Glades into NC. I get some really good loads going through Wyoming into ND hauling drilling pipe summer time it is beautiful I dread it in the winter seems like anything North of Denver is always closed down lol.

Anyone here do ups last year? Was it worrth it? Headed to a wind farm to pick up.

Schneider Choice is a great program wish I could get in...but living where I do in Florida (Ocala) they will not hire you in as a IC or even let you come in as a company driver then switch later. I have talked with them several times about it even said I know I would need to stay out longer and dead head out when needed to...but doesn't matter.

That says a lot about Schneider, as far as being a true oo. Believe me, I am not in the tank for mercer, I'm frustrated to the point of throwing in the towel, but if a company wants oo's it shouldn't make a darn where he lives or how long he would stay out, isn't his business to run. Just my thoughts, if it's your truck and your expenses to absorb who cares if I want to dh 2500 miles to go home or to get a load?premier1457 Thanks this.

Hope you don't have to tarp ! -
Good luck securing that load of wind on a flatbed. Seems like the straps would go right through it. Mercer oughta send a van instead.
How do those wind farms make any money? The power bill for those big fans has to be rediculous.
But what do I know? -
