    Hey you all...if I lease on van division with a w9 with 105 "bunk, is it going hurt me a lot? I mean weight wise...I can load 42,000..thanks

    Thanks Alan ...talked Mercer , they said no problem, just trying get as much knowledge as I can before I come on board .

    Alot of guys here at Mercer don't have truck payments lol... I'm very very jealous lol.. I got 18 more months lol

    I think he does too. Sort of. The front axle slides, two positions only, closed or full 10'2" spread. And rear is lift axle. I spend 95% of the time with them in the closed position. All d\h lift axle is up as well as light loads and LTL that I always have loaded on the front of the trailer.

    I would be willing to bet your weekly compared to his weekly is not even close. You've got to be a solid 30% more than his. As far as him staying around 2 a mile, van at mercer, unless you've seen the documentation of that I'd be more than skeptical. And if you have seen it in black and white I will say he is possibly the greatest van driver in the history of mercer.

    Thanks, more questions ? Length of haul with a van ? Can I do long stuff ...can't do Cali...too old :)

    In all honesty as someone pulling a van, if you are coming to mercer, do flat. I'm on my way back to get my flat now. That said, other than a few west coast loads to classify as long stuff not so much. You can choose what you want, van mainly east of the Mississippi, past there return freight is scarce. Washington, Oregon, Cali you're talking very cheap out and cheaper back. Find your lanes, may be short and daily pu and deliverys but can be profitable.

    Don't really want do flatbed stuff , but I'll think on it , truck paid for, some flat experience ...long ago.. Who knows ? Will come on around end of September ,,, thanks for all info...Steve
