Joseph, you live in a dang good flatbed area. Ya ever notice the 2 mercer guys always parked at the ta? Wurtland and Huntington have steel loads, hanging rock,oh. You should do well.
-
Pete just put some kind w head gasket sealer in it and ride.
-
I park at the go mart there in huntington and I see one guy there all the time. I think we are battling to see who can stay parked the longest.
-
Yup I just pulled a load out your back yard last week. Easy strap and go paying over 2.00 PM going to Indiana which is another good freight area.
-
Would that Orange sealant work? I have extended warranty from arrow truck sales. Most gasket are covered
-
Hey Pete , if you have warranty I would use it. If a sealant works it might not last long . Cummins had issues with that head gasket design and has updated the head gasket.
-
Cylinder Head Gasket is covered under it
I'm wait to let them know cuz when you file a claim you got to get to a dealer right away.
-
Man ,I hope they cover as you have had nothing but trouble. You're due for some good luck. How many miles on the engine?
-
I won't argue that. Pretty sure I stated that I was talking about flats but (except prices) I thought vans would work about the same. My point wasn't to call anyone out. I talk to van, FB and step guys and find a simple trend in all. Those that are sitting at the counter with their tablets or phones like me searching the board while they eat lunch all seem to be doing great here at Mercer. Those that tell me they are waiting for a call from their coordinators seem to be less happy as a whole.
As for rates? A van guy would need to ask where he/she stood compared to other van people. I stated were I stood in the past and because of that I don't talk about my rates all the time, I just say I'm doing well. Skate just stated where he stands and I don't recall him talking too much about his rates either except he mentioned a load at 1.70 recently. All I know about van rates is occasionally I glance at them and normally see a few rates that compare to flat rates. I see tons that don't and we all know flats pay more. We all also have different ideas of what good is. For some 200k a yr is acceptable. For others of us it's not. Who is right and who is wrong? And why are any of the van guys trying to compare to the flat guys anyhow? Compare yourselves to the LS or RR van guys. Or the fleet2truck guys if they are still around. Or better yet just to the other Mercer van guys. I'll bet that if your middle of the road on the van side you will be middle of the road on the flat side too. (Not directed at you just people in general)sanchez51476, Bucktrucker and Allan M Thank this.
