And I also was not saying that current drivers don't get dibs on trailers. I was saying that I don't agree with that. I read that somewhere else in this thread and thought to myself, "why would you not have it as first come first serve". If someone got on the list and was told they would have a trailer on a certain date then they get there and the "trailer guy" says, "Oh sorry, we had 10 guys who work here who wanted to swap so we gave your trailer to them". How would that be a good business practice? Someone gets approved and is told that they have a trailer, they leave their current job, get to orientation just to find out that an employee decided to swap over so they got that trailer. I'm not saying it would happen like that. I would assume that once you're told that you have a trailer, someone can't "jump" you otherwise it seems like Mercer would be tied up in lawsuits constantly for drivers showing up and their trailers have been given away.
Again, didn't mean to step on your toes or tell you about your job. I was just suggesting that maybe since it was fairly easy for me to be guaranteed a trailer that you may want to call and see if they got some in so you're not waiting around for a month for one. Just trying to give the guys waiting in line a heads up. -
Could be there waiting on new, while your willing to take either.

I originally wanted a step but when he told me the list was backed up until 2016, I decided to pass on that one. -

I thought there was a balloon but the escrow takes care of that or is that something I misunderstood? -

If you get a brand new one then the escrow knocks out the ballon which is a good thing but if you get used then fewer payments but a ballon. Off the top of my head I believe my ballon is $2000 or somewhere around there, I have to look at my lease agreement to be sure. Each trailer that gets turned in gets gone over with a fine tooth comb and if the tires are bad they out brand new ones on like they did mine and they didn't go cheap. With the brakes I'm not sure how hard the guy before me ran but they were fairly new
