That I understand lucky for you is you could negotiate and if they don't meet your numbers then you move on. I'm learning the system here and you have to be 100% proactive. When my truck was in the shop this week I was on the loadboard throughout the day when I had idle time when I prob would be driving and its a lot of good loads that post for about 15-30 min and their gone. I live in Florida and I seen loads coming out at 1.75-1.85 per mile on thousand miles or better. And this was everyday since Tuesday. I booked a 1.82 on 1100 miles with 10 mile DH to the shipper but canceled. So Monday I'll be scrambling to find something out

Um, what? Not sure why you quoted me. Perhaps it was an accident? Judging by your post, I would say it might be 5 o'clock where you are.

Why is it hard to understand that when someone is contracted to a company, they get first choice on loads versus someone off the street with their own authority? Or that as a contractor, in order to keep them, they get a higher percentage? Or that some loads cannot be brokered out? Or that due to all of this, the loads that make it to the public board are typically the crappy loads that the contractors didn't want, so it looks like the company only has cheap freight to outsiders, despite what people who are contracted on try to tell them?

Exactly! that is why I cannot say anything wrong about mercer! TQL is a broker company only! of course they offered me better rates! They also found a way to #### me up when the time was wright!

You guys are fighting over how the trailer system works? It works as best as it can. There is a list for flats and a list for vans. Be patient and find better things to argue about.
