If a guy forgets, or can't pay that, he shouldn't own a truck.

FYI for the iPhone guys using the Mercer app uninstall the app then check your email (mine was in the junk mail for some reason) with the link to the new updated app then get the registration code from your Coordinator.

All I had to do was click the link "on the iPhone" and it installed the patch. No need to uninstall and get a new registration code.

Here is a good question that I haven't seen on here yet regarding how you get loads. Allow me to set the scenario.

I pick up a load in Birmingham going to Indianapolis. There are 9 trucks empty in Indy and 4 in Nashville (this will be important in a minute). I unload in Indy and the coordinator says I'm #10. I jump on the load board and see that there is a load in Nashville that is going to Birmingham and I want that load. How would the order work with the distance? Do I have to wait now for the 9 other people to accept or decline loads around Indy when the one I'm wanting is a 250 miles away or if I selected that load, would that actually put me as #5 in Nashville even though I'm still in Indy?

I've never seen the "first in first out" stuff so it still confuses me although I understand most of it.

You will be fine. Just take your time and be safe, dont get yourself hurt by trying to go too fast, speed will come later. And make sure when you pull out on the highway, You are comfortable that load is going to stay on the trailer. Stop and check your securement frequently, especially in the beginning. Good Luck !

You will notice that you can be Matched on say 10 loads. On one of them you might be #1 or #2. While on the rest you are say 15. In your senerio it still maters who empties first and who is best matched. But odds are coming from Indy you would be the only one wanting to go from Indy to Nashville to get a load going to AL. So you really are only dealing with the Nashvile folks.

But to better answer, distance does play a factor in the ranking system.
