Good evening ladies and gents. Trying to get in at Mercer but man is the process SLOOOOW. 2 companies in the past 15 years for them to verify and 1 of those was my own authority. I am/will be a vanner until I join the crew at Mercer. A little history on me. I started out expediting with me and 1 straight truck aprox 6 years ago.(drove a cement truck local before that) With the help of my wife we grew our fleet to 7 trucks ( a mix of straight trucks and tractors all OTR trucks) over the next 3 years. What a pain in the rear end! A few months ago we started selling off trucks as the drivers we had either retired, quit or we forced them to leave! Now we are down to 2 trucks and when that last driver leaves it will be just me, myself, and I (well the little lady with run the office as usual). I have read this whole 967 page report and a few others:biggrin_2551: Anyways cant wait to try running skateboards. Think I'll do well and I really like the way the system works. Some get it and some don't! Seems I know just enough about it to be dangerous and turn a profit until I learn all the ropes. Hope to see y'all soon!

So I picked up my Cali load today. One 8.5" pipe weighing under 1000 lbs. I'm really going to have to take it slow over the mountains. LOL.

Mercer is a great company, but. When people come here and their finances are so far under water, that they have to finance everything, pay to get their truck to pass inspection, have no money to run on.......... It's almost impossible to learn this system and get their head above water before failure.

Not saying it can't be done, because some have done it. A lot of things have to go right and very few things can go wrong.

Then when they fail, it's all Mercers fault
