If your not making any money... Why not leave? I never understand why someone would bash a company they work for!
-
It's frustrating at times, but if you know the system then you should have expected that. Don't get me wrong, I don't drink nobody's koolaid, but I have never had anyone put a gun to my head and make me take a load into a bad area, anytime I have been in a bad area is all on me.
-
I mean ya look at the board and work with your corodinater not very difficult. stay out of crappy areas real hard concept there if the work isnt there it isnt there and dont even start about the reno thing after 17days i had to do something
-
I get the bad area thing like with the bein in reno but man its slim pickins in eastern pa too its like i cant go home cause i cant get goin again and i will not deadhead 200 miles to pick up a 500 load going to new england or something like that i want to go out for 1500 or so and come back with something similar and call it a week and so far pretty hard to do here
-
Anger, frustration, it's always easier to throw someone else under the bus, I think most anyone has done it at one time or another. Trucking right now is not all wine and roses, it is not what we have been used to, but I am seeing a bit of an uptick in freight and rates over the last quarter of last year. And I think for that to happen this early in the year is a sign of better things to come.

Im not bashin them they are very good people i just dont get the keep puttin guys on when they really dont have a whole lot for the ones that are here i had my own authority for my entire carear almost got out entirely but decided to give this a go if this dont work i think im done this stuff aint no where near what it used to be im just callin it like i see it and i dont think its mercer im really thinkin its the economyrickybobby Thanks this.

And really at the end of the day if ya think about it if it was so great here than they wouldnt have such a high turnover rate. theyre not puttin all these trucks on cause they are busy
Flightline Thanks this. -
I would be willing to bet that their turn over rate is no different than say landstar or the like. It just seems to be the nature of the business, I posted earlier in one of the Mercer threads that I believe they are just putting trucks on right now to try to hold the numbers up, I don't believe they are seeing any growth at this point.Runnin Thanks this.
