Ok. That’s good. Just telling what could happen down the road.
-
I’m telling you from experience that the OP has nothing to worry about. I have a mechanical aortic valve and take blood thinners. I’ve been to several different docs for DOT physicals. Get a one year card every time.
-
And I’m telling from experience also. I don’t have the problems you have or him but I changed jobs and had to go to a doc on their program and I never even got past the front desk. I’m not going into it on here anymore. I don’t trust the docs anymore, I’m sorry to say. I said I hope he doesn’t have anymore problems and good for you.mitrucker Thanks this.

I have to tell the Dr. It's a murmur that he or she can hear.
mitrucker: How was it right before you had the valve changed? Did the Drs. let you drive? -
I wasn’t a driver back then. Don’t think I could have done it. I was so tired all the time. It was hard to just go to my dealership job.
-
I guess the question is would a Dr let mine get that bad. Mine is just now starting. Mild ya know
-
As long as you’re seeing a dr regularly, it should be ok. Do you see a cardiologist?

You wont believe the problems people have with hearts and are still driving more or less... intact.
IF your heart doctors says he has nothing for you now and maybe come back in 10 years you know one possible future as it progresses.
I have a heart doctor myself. The #### ticker is strong as a battleship, just a handful of bad valves and certain chest wall issues which date back to my prematurity at three months. One of those will have to be either replaced, chopped out or allowed to kill me at some point. It wont hurt too much when it's time. The blood vessals are too clean for problems on that front. It will be something else that kills me.
But I do go to the heart doctor and take on those 2000 dollar scans etc. Just to keep a eye on the #### thing. Especially the ejection factor which is the one number they love to look at. We will be updating that scan in a month or so before I get back into pain management. It's going on 60+ days now clean and I am beginning to have problems. But Christmas is good and looking forward to the new years. If I can still chase wimmen and song, then there taint nothing wrong with the heart LOL.
I have a strong belief however misplaced that if you stop living, you are like a house that has been abandoned quickly. Nature makes sure to destroy that house in a few years. So it will go with your body once you decide to stop enjoying life and it's possibles. Think on that a while. We are not gauranteed tomorrow, much less 10 years. However... you have been given a golden ticket and a chance to say a few thousand per year so that when the big operation is required, you are not hard up for money to take care of that plus recovery then.mitrucker Thanks this.
