I mentioned in a previous post that I I would post the new pay scales that were emailed to me by Millis when I returned home and could access my computer. This web site will not allow the file to be uploaded via the upload file option and when I cut and pasted the open file it did not display in a readable way.
I will post a very brief summary here. I suggest anyone who wants to get a copy of the pay scale contact Millis directly.
OTR Straight Pay
0 years experience - .42
10 years experience -.52
Basically .01 per mile raise every year
OTR per diem
0 years experience - .35
10 years experience .46
Georgia Regional Straight pay
.0 years experience - .40
10 years experience -.50
Georgia Regional Per Diem
0 years experience- .34
10 years experience - .45
Georgia Regional also has performance pay for hitting certain per week mileage. If you hit these mileage levels you will be paid the corresponding bonus cents per mile for all miles that week.
1750 miles+ .01
2000 miles+ .02
2350 miles+ .03
2750 miles+ .04
3000 miles+ .05SHOJim, Suspect Zero, Solo_Seat and 1 other person Thank this. -
They also didn't have a valid answer for why ga regional is paid less than otr even though every other regional fleet is paid more than otr. They tried to tell me something about averaging out the pay so everyone gets at least a .01 raise but paying the guys who run less miles less money and paying the guys who run more miles more money just makes the pay gap even larger. Why would anyone even switch to regional with pay like this?
They also told me the milage bonus for ga regional per diem was still .03 at 2000 miles and so on just like it used to be, but that didn't sound right. I really don't think they even know what they should be paying us anymore. -

Question about electronic logs...Do they start recording the very instant you move the truck?
For example, say you sleep overnight at a shipper or receiver...Will the system force you to show driving time just to move 500 feet and put your truck in a door? Just curious. -

Something I can say with experience - if you are on your break and have to move your truck, turn the truck off and then on again once you've stopped. It only records movement after the last time the truck was started.
-
Also keep in mind that it doesn't automatically put you on the drive line until you've reached 25mph, but time it records that will be from the moment you started moving. It used to be that it only counted from the moment you hit 25, but the Dot made all the elog companies fix it.
