Well hell IL did some #### back in the day to thats why our Gov was in prison for handing out CDL's like they were candy lol. But I was under the impression and the article states it as so to that schools weren't allowed to test out their own students untill now

They had 2 instructors at the school I went to in 89 that were 3rd party certified in Michigan to do the tests. They did this provided you had a Michigan license. If you had a Indiana licensee they had a 3rd party tester in Indiana because the test had to actually be taken in Indiana. That was how it was then. I’m sure it’s changed now. Moved to Alabama went to take test and they told me if can drive a car you can drive a truck, no extra test. But all this was before CDL’s Michigan you had to have a chauffeurs license to drive a truck

I swear to God I want to put all dispatchers and brokers on an island and drop a nuke on it. I will never understand how they are qualified to schedule freight when they have no concept of how our clock works. And miles that include mountains and major cities and rush hour and construction. If the purge ever becomes a real thing, guess where I'm starting.

To this day I am infuriated with my dad. He had a chauffeur's license and got a CDL from that. He stopped driving trucks and let his cdl lapse and then suffered like crazy getting it again. No matter where I go in life, even if it isn't trucking, my CDL will never lapse.

I quit driving in 94 and let mine go.
Figured I'd never ever drive again.
Well things change and in 2011 I was wishing I still had it.
And thats where Millis came into my life

I’m sure the company does charge more, the driver portion is $20.
