He was handed a notice of the court date and time and location. Everything else comes in the mail, like the fine amount. If you're the average company driver and stay out a month at a time, you are in trouble by the time you get home to read your mail.

You leave home for a month, you get a notice like this. A week later you get a notice in the mail saying that you have 10 days from the infraction to pay $600.

    Dirty tactics, isnt it?

Kinda makes you long for the days when you could have several licenses from several different states...at least that way, you could have time to deal with issues against one while still driving legally with another...

But yeah, it has always been ridiculous to treat an OTR driver the same way as a 9-5er who sleeps at home every night...USPS with time-sensitive response usually means you're late with action taken against you before you even know you ought to be concerned.

This driver didn't lie to the wife. He was handed a little notice that didnt tell him if he received a ticket or a fine or anything. Fortunately for him, he had a wife at the home 20.

You're right. Imo, this is a rotten thing to do to a road driver.

Yes, i know he shouldn't have missed the scale. But doing this dirt can cost a driver a job and driving privileges.

Some weigh stations do not participate in Prepass which too many drivers are conditioned to listen for the beeps and often drive right on by the weigh station.

You said your GPS takes the SHORTEST route. There should be a setting to change it to the FASTEST route.

BTW: What kind of camera setup do you have?

Yes I think you're right there is a setting for FASTEST route as well.

I have a couple different body cameras I use that I clip to my hat. Sort of a forehead/dashcam that sees what I see.
