mistakes that let everyone know youre a rookie

    The one thing in late 2001 I did that was a rookie stupid was jumping my 5th wheel trying to hook a paper load in south Arkansas.

    Kept inching back waiting for that clank and got a clunk instead as the pin fell down in front of the 5th wheel plate.

    Fortunately no one was around to go ah ha there he goes...

    I pulled forward with my air lines still connected once, remembered just in time. Stretched the heck out of my spring but no damage.

    We’ve all done that at some point.

    Back when I was dump trucking one winter it was very cold, and one day I assumed wrongly that the entire load was emptying every time I dumped.

    That is, until someone told me I was running around with the same ton of dirt stuck to the body all day.... :confused:

    Time to jump on the nearest backhoe and scratch it out. Shovels are too much like work. :D

    Forgetting to lock the bathroom stall door at a truck stop and someone walking in on you taking a dump , apologizing and then saying lock that #### man!
