The H-2B program allows U.S. employers or U.S. agents (“H-2B petitioners”) who meet specific regulatory requirements to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary nonagricultural jobs. The employment must be of a temporary nature for a limited time, such as a one-time occurrence, seasonal, peak load need, or intermittent need. There is a statutory numerical limit, or “cap,” on the number of foreign workers who may receive an H-2B visa, or otherwise be granted H-2B status, during a fiscal year.

 

The H2B visa is not intended for a permanent trucking position in the USA. Those employers that are using the loophole, are skirting the law for their own advantage -

Remember - I am the guy that 20 years ago went through this. I may have chose the correct path by becoming a Naturalized US citizen, but for every one of me that did the right thing - paid out the wahzoo - had the chest X-rays, the blood draws, the 15 or 20 biometric screenings to become a bonafide, proper , naturalized US citizen . . . .

THERE IS A THOUSAND MORE THAT COULD NOT GIVE A F*****K LESS ABOUT HIS COUNTRY, LAWS, AND DOING THINGS RESPONSIBLY.

And as a legal naturalized citizen, yes - I have major issue with what I see currently.

Well, just as long as you're aware of how the H2B visa program is SUPPOSED to work, and how it is ABUSED, then that's all you need to know.

 

I am well aware how immigration works in this country since me and all my friends are immigrants with the craziest life stories lol
I am just waiting for @Iamoverit to admit that he is a typical gullible truck driver, who believes anything that he hears over truck stop lunch counter

 

Of the Australian and NZ drivers that came over on H2B visas, I know of almost none that stayed. 100% of what I consider friends are US citizens, that accepted me as an immigrant, and I hopefully imagine that part of that was because of lawful integration to their country.

The ones that did use the H2B, abused the system, dodged taxes, left the country without paying taxes, are simply dead to me as human beings. Hopefully they didn't kill any US citizens in the process.

Jam your head back in the sand. The system is used and abused. Even with testimony from someone who's been through the process you still ignore it. I'll admit to your lunch counter accusations the minute you admit you're ignoring evidence.

Don't even get me started on all the "refugees" here jumping the Southern border from all over the globe that get everything while rooting in front of the line while others are patiently going tbrough years of process to do it legally.

Did you click on the link I posted and did you see how many H2B visa for drivers were issued? Stop switching topics to asylum seekers and everybody else, we gotta finish our H2B argument.
