Apparently, the units are not available to be installed.

 

Injun, they get you yet. I think that you are really running out of time now. Where are they going to send you to get it installed.

 

Mine will be done in Grandview, probably by the end of this week. I have already talked to the guy doing it. He will not be tearing apart my dash board to run the cable out through the passenger side. The cable will be run exactly where the current one is and my unit will be mounted on the side of my seat. It will take him less than half the normal time to do this with absolutely no holes in my dash. Not even in the cubby.

Day 2 of Elogs ended up poorly for me. The unit went to sleep at my second stop and woke up poorly. I was unable to force a reboot (3 fingered salute didn't work) and ended up calling my DM to let him know that the delivery had been done and I was on my way home.

Has anyone else had a problem with start up of the QC? Is there a way to force a reboot that doesn't require taking the dash apart or disconnecting the batteries?

And is there a secret code for getting into the third page of apps? I would like to do the dvir, or see what games it comes with. I need to feed my freecell addiction.

 

Rebooting the QC requires CTRL/ALT/DEL. If your cursor is frozen to where you can't respond to the pop up boxes, just hit ENTER (on the hard keyboard) until the unit starts it's shut down mode. It should come back up within 5-7 minutes ready to go.

It's true drivers are out there every day falsifying their elogs. The 16 Exception is not to be used by the 70/8 crowd, that is more for the 60/7 crowd and Canada drivers. Highflight made a good post on that in the Plus 1 thread.

I had the QC lock up on me again. It doesn't like waking up sometimes. I hate it when computers start taking on my traits. I did find the fuse for it in the battery box. Now I'm thinking that I need to put a switch in for it.
