Sometimes we had to teach a cat to kill mice. We would trap a field mouse in a box trap, then take the cat into the bathroom, shut the door and turn the mouse loose. It didn't have anywhere to hide. You have to encourage the cat to "git it!" Eventually the cats instinct for the chase means they do get it, but now what? You keep encouraging them until they start crunching on those tiny bones. Some of our best mousers had to be taught. Once they developed the taste there was no stopping them.

My cat can catch mice, sometimes he tries to share them, or what’s left of them. He got a rat the other day. He also tried to get the rooster a few times.
He doesn’t ride though, he stays home and tends the farm.
The other cat is in training, so far he only gets mice.

A cat might scare it out. Otherwise no. Those things can run 12 feet a second.

That mouse #### can get you seriously sick. When you disturb it, sweep it up, it goes airborne and you risk inhaling it. Clean it up with a mask, disinfect everything, and then Lysol your truck completely.

many years ago I'm rolling down the highway in my old '76 W900 and a mouse pops his head out of the defrost vent and stares at me. we locked eyes for a good 30 seconds or so, and he pops out onto the dash. I grabbed that fker and threw him out the window at 65 mph.

Shotgun might be a little overkill...I just use a handgun for the small ones.

I read it as "There's a moose in my truck" probably due to fatigue.

My first thought was to tell them to put in the earplugs and do the opposite of moose told them to do if they valued their life..
